I love tape, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Brunswick Bowling Tape 100 Piece Roll (Misc.) What's the difference between the white and black? You'll see different habits of use depending on a person's preferences. Some like white textured, some prefer black smooth, some will use a combination - maybe white-on-front, black-on-back, or vice versa (or off to the side). There's also black textured tape that's somewhere in between, but that's not seen very often.Held in common though is... using tape for on-the-fly adjustments of how tight the thumbhole is. Some people are lucky and their thumb size does not change much. Mine fluctuates rapidly, so I'm often seen tinkering with tape and go through quite a bit - not so much now that I've switched to the Vise IT (great investment!) and have less thumbholes to deal with. The tape doesn't stay on a well as I hoped and is too long for my short thumb. I will used paper tape at the base to keep the tape on and next time I will order the 1" wide tape. 1 of 7 people found the following review helpful Not what you think, Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Brunswick Bowling Tape 100 Piece Roll (Misc.) I've bowled with bowlers tape made by brunswick before at the bowling alley and I am a league bowler. Bowlers tape is supposed to be grippy so that you can grip the ball better when your ball gets too oily or your hands get sweaty. However, when I got this tape today, it was not grippy at all but very smooth. How am I supposed to grip the ball better with smooth tape? What's the point of spending friggin $12 dollars for it when it's not a good product? I would have been better off spending the $5 at the bowling alley and getting a box of the good stuff. This is the second product that I have bought from Amazon that I was not happy with. This is going back. I would not recommend this product to anyone. |
